The idea for DRYYP started with a sweat — not in a luxury spa, but on the Irish coast.

Back in 2020, Mike was living in Dublin, playing basketball for UCD Marian, when he discovered a growing sauna culture. What started as a way to recover with teammates quickly became something more. Sauna was a place for community, conversation, and connection.

After returning to Connecticut, that ritual stuck. Through visits back to Ireland, we watched sauna become part of everyday life, with wood-fired saunas bringing people together on beaches, in harbors, and throughout communities.

We knew Connecticut needed more of this.

That's why we started DRYYP.

Our mission is simple: make high-quality sauna experiences more accessible and part of everyday life.

Today, we're bringing that vision to life in two ways. Through community sauna experiences that bring people together, and by helping individuals, businesses, and organizations bring sauna into their own spaces.

From gathering around the heat at Wellness Park in New Haven to finding the right sauna for a backyard, hotel, or shared space, we're driven by the same belief that started it all: sauna should be something more people can experience, enjoy, and make part of their lives.

We're still at the beginning of that journey, and we're excited about what's ahead.
